Retaining talent is one of the key challenges for Allinial Global members as it is for many employers right now. When speaking at the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2021, Jennifer Currence, SHRM-SCP, CEO of WithIN Leadership, highlighted employee engagement and retention as the number one priority in her session "Top 5 Priorities for an HR Department of One."

Currence attributed people quitting to a variety of factors, including:

  • Senior leaders not putting as much energy into people as they do the business
  • Employers not treating employees like adults
  • Managers failing to coach
  • Organizations not being transparent
  • Companies not giving specific and personalized recognition

Add to this the changes brought about by the pandemic, and it’s easy to see why engagement and retention are such important concerns for employers. Here at Allinial Global we have been hard at work identifying tools and resources to assist you with this challenge.
